Back in Shanghai

So back in Shanghai, and its July. the umbrellas are up, its been raining, but now so hot you can't walk down the street without some shade. 37 degrees today and 92percent humidity, ugghhh!
Thank goodness for the leafy plane trees, offering some respite from the sun.

A diy sunshade for this construction worker...

Oh and the lavender plants on the balcony seem to be missing...the ayi probably overwatered them or they succumbed to the heat..basil is still going strong though!

Lychees are in season, giant ones the size of plums, and yongmei for a short season. White peaches, nectarines, watermelons and mangos.

yong mei-or yum berry!

And of course shower heads.

The lotus are in flower again and the ciccadas are starting to hum, a warm up for the deafening onslaught to come.
Its 2011 so China celebrating 90 years of communist rule. Im sure Ill be adding more to this, but for now..

And I just like this picture, recycling to the max.
